After a year long dry spell ASP Stuff Radio barely manage to squeeze in a single episode before the close of 2023. However, the agonizing wait is worth it for the dedicated trio discuss Alberotle’s fifth time seeing his favorite English electronic music band, Depeche Mode (DM), in concert at the San Diego Pechanga Arena on Wednesday, December 6th. Although the performance was energetic and entertaining it was also an emotional moment as it marked DM’s first album, “Memento Mori,” and world tour without the beloved and grounded presence of Andy “Fletch” Fletcher, who sadly passed away on May 26, 2022, due to an aortic dissection at the age of 61. It was an utter shock to all DM fans across the globe. Even former band member Alan Wilder once said that Fletch would “outlive us all the way we’re all going.” Indeed, he “was always the steady one” as lead singer Dave Gahan reflects on the passing of his friend and band member who “held them together” for so long.

On a somewhat lighter note the trio of quirky minds revisit a classic game show from the late 1960s called “If You Were Pooping and You Heard Someone Breaking In to Your House and Running Towards You and You Know You Had to Do Something Quickly, Do You Wipe Your Butt?” So, what would you do devoted listener of ASP Stuff Radio? More importantly how would Albertotle, Steveocrates, and Paulato react—wipe or not wipe—in an awkwardly dire yet strangely festive situation? To find out…
