Given ASP Stuff Radio’s penchant for political fodder, it would be impossible for Alberotle, Steveocrates, and Paulato not to put in their two cents regarding the controversial Kavanaugh-Ford hearing that took place at the Senate Judiciary Committee last week. Dr. Blasey Ford accused Judge Brett Kavanaugh of trying to rape her when they were in high school, but Kavanaugh emphatically denies the serious accusation. Somebody is clearly telling a lie. In untangling this nation-wide and historical event, a heated dispute naturally ensues amongst the trio of conflicting minds.
Luckily, not all is politics in this recent episode for this is ASP Stuff Radio! Steveocrates and Paulato provide an excellent overview of sabermetrics, the application of statistical analysis to baseball records and a vital tool for evaluating the performance of individual players, and how it has changed the metaphorical landscape of the game of baseball.
Earlier this month Alberotle embarked on a research assignment concerning a curious sleeping disorder called night terrors, or what is also known as sleep terrors. Alberotle was fortunately able to conduct a wildly fascinating one-on-one interview, which you will hear in this episode, with a parasomnia specialist named Doctor Ag, who also teaches sleep disorders at the University of Arizona and wrote a national-bestseller called The War on Sleep Terror: When Terror Strikes Fear in our Slumbers. You don’t want to miss or sleep through the interview!
Finally, ASP conclude this nicely packed episode of stuff with a light-hearted, fall-themed game of Last Letter.
Enjoy the show!
