Episode #50 – Thanksgiving Truths, Unorthodox Stuffing, The “Great Debate” on Climate Change, and Whether to Separate the Art from the Artist

rural landscape: barren fields with storm clouds

Commemorate Native American Heritage Month with friends and family by downloading and listening to our fiftieth (50th) episode of ASP Stuff Radio! Just like a plethora of enticing sides on the Thanksgiving dinner table, Alberotle, Steveocrates and Paulato offer a variety of alluring stuff for your enjoyment: ASU’s latest Origins Project (a so-called “great [one-sided] debate” on climate change hosted by theoretical physicist, Lawrence Krauss); Thanksgiving myths and Frank James’s truthful but censored 1970 speech about the Pilgrims and Native Americans; and Ronan Farrow’s discovery of Weinstein’s “army of spies” who were hired to quash the allegations of rape and sexual harassment made against him.  The latter topic leads to a widely discussed issue on whether or not we can or even should separate the art from the artist.  Could you thoroughly enjoy Louis C.K’s TV series Louis despite his questionable moral character, or appreciate the musical brilliance of Richard Wagner’s Ride of the Valkyries independent of his virulent anti-semitism?

Finally, what better way to unwind your mind from this mentally cramping stuff than to participate in a game of  Turkey Stuffing: Unorthodox Stuff that People Insert into their Jerky Turkey! You may be surprised by the various food items that people have incorporated into their Thanksgiving stuffing.  ASP Stuff Radio would like to know if you’ve unconventionally stuffed your turkey with anything that wasn’t mentioned on the show.  Send us your bizarre stuff at aspstuffradio@gmail.com
