Happy Halloween, ghouls and ghosts! Episode 49 kicks off ASP Stuff Radio’s third season and it is stuffed with spooky stuff such as Tom Hank’s obsession with collecting old typewriters and a spine chillingly great review of Christopher Nolan’s film, Dunkirk. Steveocrates was fortunate to attend a live NPR event where David Greene, one of the hosts of NPR’s Morning Edition, interviewed Tom Hanks, the two-time Academy Award winner and frequent urinator in many of his movies, at the Bovard Auditorium in Los Angeles. The interview is intended to promote his new collection of short stories, Uncommon Type, and Steveocrates provides a general overview of the conversation. (At the end of the show you will hear a snippet of another NPR interview where Hanks discusses the overwhelming craze for his SNL character, David S. Pumpkins.)
Paulato provides compelling reasons to add Dunkirk to your queue with his excellent review of Dunkirk. In addition, he briefly summarizes ASP’s 2017 MLB playoff predictions. So far, Alberotle is in the lead for betting that the L.A. Dodgers will win the 2017 World Series.
Finally, ASP play a frightening Halloween game called The Zombie Apocalypse. Will they survive if blood-thirsty, mindless zombies invaded their school? Listen and play along to find out!
