Episode #41 – Talking Baseball Pt. 2, Zen Hitting and Motley Foolishness

Episode 41 Artwork_edited-2

ASP Stuff Radio extend their break from politics and continue their discussion on Giant’s baseball.  This time you will hear Steveocrates provide his predictions on who will make the final cut for the 25 man roster of the San Francisco Giants.  If you haven’t already heard Alberotle and Paulato’s predictions be sure to listen to episode #40.  In the meantime, if you’ve ever wondered what goes on in a baseball batter’s brain while processing a super duper fast pitch you now have the chance to listen to ASP converse about that brain-boggling topic in this episode.  Being the good philosopher that he is, Alberotle brings forth a philosophical perspective on how, according to the book Baseball and Philosophy, some fundamental tenets of Zen Buddhism can substantially aid the mind’s, or perhaps relieve the brain’s, of baseball hitters behind the plate.

To conclude the episode, Alberotle and Steveocrates talk about their Motley Fool experience at an amusing and educational investing event they attended called Motley Fool One.  Each had the pleasure of meeting Tom Gardner, one of the co-founders of the Motley Fool, a private financial-services company in Alexandria, Virginia, Jeff Fischer, a “Foolish” options and stock analyst, and Chris Hill a dedicated podcaster who hosts a daily show called Market Foolery.  Alberotle and Steveocrates tell an interesting story about Jeff’s encounter with Donald J. Trump in the late 1990s.  Put on your jester hat and listen to the episode!
