The 2019 spring training baseball season is in full swing and Alberotle and Steveocrates had the chance to witness many players of the San Francisco Giants loosen up, do warm-up exercises and practice various baseball drills in Scottsdale, Arizona on February 19th, before their exhibition games. Steveocrates provides live commentary on some of the action-packed drills and thrills that were performed that day, including a real-life at-bat simulation. It isn’t often that Giants fans witness their favorite players like Buster Posey or Pablo Sandoval hit against Madison Bumgarner. Speaking of rare occurrences, Steveocrates was fortunate to have a conversation with Panda (albeit a terse exchange of words).
In addition to commentary, Alberotle and Steveocrates discuss the impact of sabermetrics in Major League Baseball and the gradual change of players, and therefore nature or “spirit”, of the S.F. Giants.
